Do you seem to not be able to make a jump shot on a consistent basis?

Does the ball seem to go to the left or the right and not into the basket?

Well you need to find your BEEF..

BEEF is what you need to correct your basketball shooting technique.

Balance -- Make sure you are standing in a position with your feet a little closer than shoulder width apart. Also, make sure your shoulders and body is squared up to the basket.

Elbows in -- Bring your shooting arm up as if you are about to shoot a ball. Make sure that your elbow is close to your body and not extending out.

Eyes on target -- Your target should be the basket or if you are shooting a bank shot, your target should be near the tip of the box on the backboard.

Follow-through -- I'm sure you have seen the movie, Love and Basketball. Remember during a game when Monica (Sanaa Lathan) took the jump shot during the game and just stood there with her shooting hand and arm extended toward the goal. That was na perfect follow through. As you are releasing the ball, your hand should wave forward and hold that position after the wave. The wrist should be straight in line with the lower and upper arm and the arm should be extended forward.

Attitude -- Be confident that when you shoot the basketball, the ball will go through the hoop. If you are confident and have a positive attitude in your shooting ability, the ball will go in more often than not.n
