Although it is not something that you should be sneaky about, marketing is basically a way of getting your customers to believe that they really need the products or services you are offering, even if they really do not. There are many ways that you can go about your marketing to achieve the results you are looking for, and of course, people are always coming up with new marketing methods. But, don't forget to use some of the tried, tested and true marketing methods that have been working for many businesses for decades. You need to make a great offer, according to Mark Joyner, author of Making an Irresistible Offer. Here are five ways that you can make an offer that only a few would ever refuse: Offer club benefits at low prices: Take all of the products and/or services you are offering, and sit down and make a list of all of the benefits you are offering to your customers. Then, let your customers know about the benefits they are receiving, and offer these benefits at a price that they cannot refuse. (an irresistible offer). This is going to make things tough for your competition and bring in more sales for you. Provide more than your customers are asking for: You are probably already providing incentives for customers to do business with you. To really seal the deal, once they take advantage of your offer, give them something extra that they didn't even expect. This is something that is going to really make people want to do future business with you, and it will make them tell others about the great service that you provide to your customers, which will in turn expand your customer base even further. Offer free trials to new customers (and current customers too): Everyone loves to get something for free, and it is a great way to entice new customers, and generate new interest among current customers. If you are offering a product or service, give your customers a free trial. For example, if you are providing a service that is to be a long-term one, offer a free trial of a week, a month or even longer so your customers can see what the service is all about. If they can try it out first, they will be more inclined to make a purchase later on. Don't wait for Christmas to offer great discounts: Offering discounts on your products and services year-round is a great incentive for customers. People are always looking for the best deals on everything they buy, and if you are not offering discounts all the time, you may be losing out on a lot of sales and profits. Any time of the year is a great time to make sales, so why wait for the holiday to offer incentives to your customers? Do it year round, and watch your sales soar. Earn trust by offering guarantees: Even if it seems crazy, offer as many guarantees as possible to your customers. When you have a money-back guarantee, make sure that it includes the cost of shipping, if any. Take care of any problems your customers may have, and they will be sure to want to do business with you in the future. When you offer guarantees, and live up to your end of the bargain, your customers are going to really learn to trust you, and they will be repeat customers for life.
