Selling property in a flat market for many is just not a feasible option, having to take a massive drop in price can often leave many people stuck & end up not moving on with their life. With the rise of new technology and the current housing situation which we are all facing being able to get as much publicity for your home you intend to sell must be one of the things at the top of your agenda.
As I have helped over 500 homeowners reach a successful sale of their property I have listed below 5 ways in which you can take advantage of the current housing market and get your property to the right people at no cost to yourself
Tip 1
Use the internet just by typing in a few key related words in to the internet you can come across a wave of home related websites, which will allow you to list your property for free. Some sites will allow you to upload full pictures with a description as well.
Tip 2
Have a good clean up & clear out. It is something which is so basic but yet so many people just don’t do it. Just image you are the looking for that dream home and you have been looking at different homes week on end. One of the first things we all do as humans when viewing property is try & picture ourselves their, coming home from work having parties etc. This is what will either motivate us to by the property or make us what to leave immediately, however if the property is filled from top to toe with your stuff having this visitations is almost impossible.
Tip 3
Create your own leaflet. This is again a simple and very effective way to promote your property. If you have good computer skills and a digital camera you can make your flyer look very professional, however if you are like me and are not to great on the computer and you have a mobile phone that takes pictures you can design your own flyer within 5 minutes. If you need a guide to what your flyer should look like just pop in to local estate agent and you will find loads all over the wall. Just remember to make sure that your contact details are on the flyer and the written description is as accurate as possible.
Tip 4
Once you have done your flyers & you are happy with the way it look’s, it’s time to put them to some good use. Your flyers need to be in places where groups of people gather, good places, are shopping market notice boards, Church notice boards, Shop windows and any where else you can think off were you will be allowed to put them up. Also put some through the doors of your local neighbourhood, although they may not be planning on moving themselves they may have a friend or family member who is.
Tip 5
Email your clients if you have a contact list within your email accountant send out you’re flyer to your contact list be sure to write some small personal information about your property or reason for the sale in the email just to add that human touch. The good thing with emails is that you can reach a mass group within seconds, so regular sending could prove beneficially however do not over do it as you do not want to be labelled a spammer.
