More and more people in the world are getting over weight, which also means that more and more people are trying to get rid of the excess fat every day, so you are not alone. But the thing is that many people try but they fail, because they don't know how to do it. Well here are a few easy tips that you can implement in your life today to start losing weight.
1. 5-6 Meals A Day Instead Of 3
2. Fresh Foods
3. Drink Water
4. Eat What You Want Day
5. Skipping Meals
6. Exercise
1. 5-6 Meals day instead of 3
This is something that a lot of people do wrong. It is also one thing that many people don't understand; if I have 6 meals a day wouldn't I gain more weight then if I ate just 3?
Well the thing is that when you eat only 3 times a day you tend to eat to much every time. Lets say that you eat breakfast, and then you don't eat anything until its lunch, you will be very hungry then and you will probably to much instead.
When you eat 5-6 meals a day you never get to feel that hunger, so you will not over eat at any meals. Eat breakfast, then snack, then lunch then snack, and then dinner and something light at night also if you want. And by snack I don't mean to eat a candy bar or something like that. I mean eat a fruit, or a sandwich of whole wheat bread or something similar.
When you eat 5-6 meals a day you will not get those blood sugar spikes. You will also keep your metabolism high all day, and as you know metabolism will burn of fat.
2. Fresh Foods
You should try to only eat fresh food and avoid the processed (packaged) food, and fast food. Because those foods often contain high amounts of sodium and fat, which will not help with your weight loss. Examples of processed foods to avoid are:
- Frozen fish sticks and frozen dinners
- Sugary breakfast cereals
- Breads and pastas made with refined white flour
- Chips and candy
- Packaged cakes and cookies
3. Drink Water
Every day you should drink at least 8 glasses of water. And the more over weight you are the more water you need. Water will keep your body hydrated so it can function properly. You will get more energetic and feel better.
Dehydration can also feel as if you are hungry, so you might grab something to eat, even though your body is full and you only needed some water. If you want to know more about water and weight loss, check out my other article:

4. Eat What You Want Day
Everybody deserves to have a treat now and then especially if you are following a strict diet. Then you should have one day of the week where you get to eat what you want all day. And I don't mean go crazy and eat like 2000 calories more then usual. But you can eat 500-800 calories more then usual with out a problem.
I know this may sound strange to you but this is a great way to both keep your motivation up to stick to your diet, and to lose weight. When you are on a diet, your body will get used to it after a while and when it does, it will lower your metabolism, hence decreasing your fat burn. But if you have one of these days, you will shock your body; it will not know what is going on so it will raise your metabolism again.
5. Skipping meals
Like I said before you should eat small meals throughout the day, to keep your metabolism high and your blood sugar level balanced.
If you skip a meal you will get blood sugar spikes, and you will get hungry. And you will probably over eat at your next meal.
6. Exercise
Food and exercise goes hand in hand when it comes to weight loss. You have to get off your ass and start doing some exercise. Try to be active at least 30 minutes each day.
Maybe you have 3 days a week when you practice hard for 40-60 minutes. That is great. But don't think that you can sit on your ass all day for the other 4 days. You still need to be active at least 30 minutes those days.
When your going to work, if don't live to far away, you can walk or take the bicycle instead of your car. Take the staircase instead of the elevator. At lunch if you finished eating and still have maybe 10-15 minutes left f your lunch break. Don't just sit around talking to your co-workers. Get up and go for a walk for 15 minutes instead. It is not hard to get in 30 minutes of exercise each day; you just have to prioritize it.
