Most people, especially girls, want to have clear, flawless, and glowing skin. Having a beautiful skin means that you have to spend less time putting makeup as well as needing a few skin care products to take care of your skin.

If you want to have clear skin, you have to address some of your skin concerns. If you’re thinking that you can always cover it with makeup, then think again. Makeup is just a temporary answer to your problem. Much of what it can do is just to cover up, but it won’t entirely solve your problems. Get to the bottom of the problem and find a way to fix it. Here are 7 beauty tips for clear skin:

Let your skin breathe overnight

One golden rule to help care for your skin is to always remember to remove your makeup before you go to bed. Let your skin breathe by removing all those layers of makeup since it will only clog your pores overnight, which is one cause of blackheads and blemishes. Even if you don’t have a makeup remover, you can easily do this by using a cotton pad doused with olive oil to gently massage your face and getting rid of makeup as well as any other dirt that has accumulated on your face.

Also, don’t forget to pamper your skin. Remember to exfoliate at least once a week in order to remove dead skin. When you do this at least once a week, you end up with healthy and clear skin. As an alternative, you can use a powdered paste of walnut.

Protect your skin from direct sunlight

In order to maintain the healthy glow of your skin, don’t forget to apply sunscreen that contains at least SPF 15 to block the harmful UV rays. Since accumulated exposure to the sun can cause different kinds of skin problems, such as age spots and wrinkles, it is important to keep the skin away from the sun.

Even if it isn’t sunny, or even when it’s cold outside, never forget to apply sunscreen. Whether you’re going to somewhere cold or to the beach, always apply sunscreen with SPF 15 or higher to your skin.

Strive to eat healthy food always

Remember that what you eat can actually affect the beauty of your skin. Lean toward foods that are rich in protein and vitamins like Vitamin C. Try to avoid eating food that is fatty, sweet, salty, spicy, or fermented.

If you feel like you can’t avoid them completely, try to lessen your intake. Your skin needs healthy foods, such as fresh fruits and greens, in order to be healthy. Eat more of those types of food.

Cleanse your body by exercising daily

When you exercise, your body actually kicks out the toxins that are inside – Not to mention that it also lets you have better blood circulation. Try to exercise daily. You can jog, do yoga, and even run. You’ll be surprised to see that your skin is glowing right after your workout.

When you’re going out for a workout, don’t forget to apply toner in order to lessen oil production on your face. After your workout, apply some shea butter in order to moisturize your skin.

Try to get at least 8 hours of sleep every night

Some of you might take it for granted, but getting enough sleep actually helps you get clear and healthy skin. In order to soothe and prepare you for sleep, you can mix honey with water and drink at least a glassful of that every night. You can also apply honey directly to your face to rejuvenate your skin. Also, make sure that you wash and apply moisturizer on your face before you sleep.

Always keep yourself properly hydrated

One other important thing to remember is to hydrate yourself. When you are properly hydrated, your skin looks healthier – In fact, you are healthier as a whole because water cleanses out the toxins inside your body.

Make sure that you drink at least 8 glasses of water or more every day. You can also opt to eat fruits that have high water content like apples and watermelon.

Form healthy habits that will benefit your skin

One way that you can look good is to feel good. When you always feel stressed, you are letting your skin become prone to breakouts. Try stress management so that you can take better control of your stress.
