As per the report approximately 3.146 billion email accounts are registered and they are in touch with their near dear one via email. Facebook, which thundering on the internet is still finding difficulties to hold a candle to the number of email users. No doubt that it’s a great tool of marketing but implementing it is not very easy. As the introduction of social media has hampered its reputation and been said by many that email marketing is dead, but I will say that it’s still one of the best tool for marketing. Below are some quick tips for creating a better email strategy for your business. 1. Use Attractive Incentives on Your Subject Line When you include an incentive in your subject line, you can increase open rates by as much as 50%. Some of the attractive statement that you can add to your subject line is “Free shipping when you spend $25 or more” and “Receive a free iPod with demo.” 2. Minimum is Maximum The less clutter you have in your email, the more conversions you’ll experience. Don’t junk up your email with more than 2, or at maximum, 3 typefaces. 3. Call-to-Action Should Sound Loud Your Call-to-action should be repeated at least 3 times throughout the email. Along with the call to action should be visible once the page is opened. 4. Keep Your Email 500-650 Pixels Wide If you go wider than 650 pixels, then you’re asking users to scroll horizontally to read your entire message. That’s a no-no. 5. Place your Logo in the Upper Left-Hand Side of the Email As per the eye tracking studies it has been found that people usually look for logos in the upper left hand side of emails. So for the maximum effect, always try to put in the left side so as to ensure maximum visibility. 6. Compelling and Attractive Subject Lines A short and crispy subject line will do wonders to your email. A good subject line should contain no more than 30 to 50 characters. Along with it should hint a sense of urgency, so as it can readers some indication of what to expect once they open the mail. 7. Slide to Landing Pages Landing page must be having similarity to your email. It’s just like an explanatory note of your email. Along with make sure you’re utilizing tracking tools to see which emails and landing pages performed the best. 8. Conduct a 5-Second Test Send a copy of the email to a friend or business associate. Can they quickly tell what your call-to-action is? If so, you’re golden. If not, keep working.
