Corns on the feet are thickened areas of skin that can become painful. They are caused by excessive pressure, rubbing or friction on the skin and can lead to foot problems, especially on walking. The common cause is wearing ill-fitting shoes. There are three types of corns such as hard, soft and seed. Hard corns occur on the outer side of the little toe or on the top of the smaller toes.
