Not working out or eating unhealthy once in a while is fine, but it shouldn’t become your lifestyle. If you have been too busy at work and got no time to exercise or cook healthy meals, it’s probably time for you to give health a priority. Work will never stop, but if you don’t take control of your health today, it could affect your life in the long run. Obesity, diabetes and heart diseases are known to cause in individuals with an inactive lifestyle.  You don’t need to be a long-distance athlete or life 100 kilograms in the gym but take simple small steps to lead a better lifestyle. You should enjoy doing your exercise and not get too overwhelmed. Sometimes people find it intimidating to work out in a group because they fear getting judged. In that case, you should try other activities that you actually enjoy doing. It can be hard to find a workout that suits your lifestyle and comfort. Here are some very simple baby steps to help you stay active and fit.  1.Get your Personal Trainer As mentioned earlier, some people find it intimidating to exercise in a group. This could be because of either embarrassment or sometimes not able to match the timings. You should ideally be going for a walk for at least 30 minutes every day. If you are too busy with work, maybe you should try walking short distances instead of taking a taxi or driving the car. Walk to your grocery store and life those bags if it’s at a shorter distance. Next time you get a long phone call, try walking in the corridor or in your room. This will help you get some physical activity without putting too much effort. If you plan to meet a friend for a coffee, maybe go for a walk in the par instead. You will be able to breathe some fresh air and also become active. The long conversation with your friend will make walking less monotonous. These simple tips will help you get your inactive life back on track.    3.Get some Chair Workout It’s normal if you don’t get the time to go to a gym every day. Sometimes there’s too much work, and it could be stressful to manage time. But, that doesn’t mean you can’t get some activity. You should try to get up every 20 minutes from your work desk and get some fresh air. You can also do some simple chair exercises to work out those muscles. Sitting at one place for long makes your muscles very stiff. Raise your arms up and down, move that neck left to right and you can get some wrist rotations as a counter pose for working on the laptop all day. These need not be a very vigorous workout that you would ideally do in a gym, but something is better than nothing. 4.Get those Dancing Shoes on If you are someone who finds gym workouts boring, you can indulge in various other physical activities that are fun. You can do aerobics, Zumba, salsa and the options are endless. You don’t even need to go to a dance class! You can put on some loud music and dance like nobody’s watching. You will burn the same calories and with a lot more fun. Dancing is also a great stress-buster. There are no rules, and all you have to do is enjoy the activity. Other fun physical activities are swimming, cycling, hiking etc. Take your pick and take that first step towards a healthy and active lifestyle.    5.Clean your House If you often leave your house untidy, maybe it’s time to make some changes in your perspective. Cleaning your house every day keeps you fit and active in the long run. You can start by cleaning a smaller area of your house and then move on to the whole house. You should try to de-clutter your cupboard, dust the curtains and mop the floor. These may sound silly but is actually the secret to a healthy and active lifestyle.
