1. Assess where you are at right now. Are you eating for emotional reasons? Are you stress eating? What is your current feeling about your body, your size, or your weight? Do you feel connected to your body, connected to your hunger?
2. Ask yourself these questions: What’s my goal this year? Why do I want to achieve it? When do I want to achieve it by? Will I do what’s required to succeed? Do I need additional support or resources to attain my desired goal?
3. Break down your large goal into smaller, more manageable pieces. This is a NLP technique called chunking.
4. Recruit a friend to go through this process with you. Share your goals, come up with a plan and support one another.
5. Schedule yourself out. Use your calendar to schedule workouts, to schedule time to meditate, to schedule time to take care of yourself and your needs.
6. Get rid of the all-or-nothing attitude. Perfectionism runs wild and achieving your desired body is not about doing things perfectly, but about moving toward your desired state.
7. Write your goals down and look at them at least a few times a week to activate your brain. When you write body goals down, you are ahead of 95% of other men and women wanting to slim down.
