Here are some easy ways to lose weight and get skinny. Try one or two of these tips every week to begin your weight loss.
Increase the amount of fruits and vegetables in your diet to lose weight. Instead of eating junk food, like chips and cookies, eat healthy snacks. Don’t buy anything from a vending machine. Bring your own healthy snacks instead, like carrots or bananas. Stop drinking soda and start drinking 100% juice drinks. Have fresh fruit for dessert instead of baked goods. Not only will you lose weight, you will have a healthy diet packed with vitamins and nutrition.
For weight loss, it’s very beneficial to eat less meat in your diet. Substitute a portion of the meat in your dishes for extra vegetables.
Eat more nuts and seeds. Make a trail mix at home and bring it with you to help combat cravings and eat healthy even when you are away from home. This also increases the vitamins in your diet. Nuts and seeds are high in Calcium, Magnesium, Omega 3 Fatty Acids, Potassium, B Vitamins, Vitamin E and Zinc.
Eat good fat to maximize weight loss. Certain kinds of fats are essential to your health, and eliminating all fat from your diet minimizes the affects of exercise. Examples of some of the good fats are nuts, seeds, avocadoes, olives, cocoa butter and dairy.
In order to lose weight, get more sleep at night. Women who sleep 7-8 hours a day weigh 33% less than those who sleep for less than 5 hours. This also reduces the risk for heart disease, heart attack, stroke and congestive heart failure.
Begin to drink 3 glasses of Skim milk every day for weight loss. There’s no better way to get your protein than from Skim milk because it’s fat free. It also helps to combat hunger cravings because of its high protein content.
When you cook, decrease the amount of butter and margarine called for in recipes by 50%-75%. This is bad fat (trans fat) that you want to avoid, not only to lose weight, but for your overall health.
You can’t have an article about weight loss and getting skinny without mentioning exercise. It’s important to be physically active each and every day. Even if it’s only a few minutes, do something. Get in the habit of doing a little bit every day, and each week increase the time and/or intensity of your exercise.
Try at least one of these ideas to get skinny and lose weight today. Next week, try another. n
