This is the first article in a series of articles on recession proof business and how can you identify a business that is recession proof. We will first define what a product really is. Once you understand what a product is it will be easier to review products and determine whether they will be a viable and successful product during a recession or not. Understanding the difference between whether a product will be a boom or go bust in a recession is important when you are trying to solve a problem for your consumers.
It does not matter what product you review, whether it is heavy equipment, exercise equipment, herbal supplements, information products for how to train your pets, or anything else of a similar nature. Every product was created to solve a problem. No matter what someone needs or desires there is a product that has been specifically made to fulfill that need or desire, or solve any issue they could possible fathom. So finding a recession proof business is all about identifying then solving problems.
When you start to look at recession it is extremely easy to identify issues, worries and pains that are keeping people up at night. Resolving these issues will be what people spend their money on. This will lead you to find a recession proof business. People will want to be able to sleep at night and not have all the pains and worries that recession brings to their lives. If you can solve their issues they will spend their money to relieve the pain.
The businesses that will do well in any economy are the businesses that provide services or products with value to people who are experiencing problems and want to find a way to solve their problems, overcome their problems or get around their problems. Solving this problem will help you obtain a recession proof business. Selecting a service or product that adds value to someone’s life is something that person will spend money on.
So the first thing we will have to do is to find a product or service that is designed to increase the value of a person’s life and determine exactly what pain or problem you will be solving for that person. Understanding how to solve this problem will help you identify whether or not you have a recession proof business or whether it is only something that will be around when people have an abundance of disposable income.
