Last night I watched the world change. As I was going to sleep, US voters showed courage to change; they made a decisio
I did not think I'd see in my lifetime. It took courage, a collective courage of a nation. A desire to overcome the past and change.
In his acceptance speech, Mr. Obama said a couple of things repeatedly. One was "YES WE CAN', and indication that collectively things can be changed for the better. He also used the word "HOPE" repeatedly.
Over a short period of time Mr. Obama has awoken to his life's purpose. Are you ready to do the same? Are you ready to overtly regain and reflect hope in your life? Are you willing to awaken to your life's purpose? Have you got the courage?
In the faces of those in Chicago that personally witnessed that historic address, you could see the raw emotion of the moment. There was hope and in the faces of many, and the look of serenity. You could sense at that moment in time they truly were embracing change, and were at peace with it.
In my life, I accepted the need for change. A spirit I found dwelling within gave me the courage. A collective we, some in recovery, some friends and family and several outside coaches helped me on the journey to awaken to my life's purpose. Can more make that change? As Mr. Obama said last night, "Yes we can", and there are many, including myself, who will begin today with new hope.
The total is the sum of its parts. To make the change the collective "we" must make, a large number of the parts must have the courage to change one person at a time. Are you ready?
I have a chance to reawaken to my purpose again, and I feel the opportunity deep within. With the landmark decision a nation made last night, I pray the spirit for new purpose was lit in millions, and November 4, 2008 will go down in history as the start of a world whose people are prepared to "Awaken to their life purpose', a world functioning with pure consciousness in the now. We have an opportunity.
Remember as we go through our day, and the days that follow-we have a new opportunity if we have the courage to act and change. We heard a man say yes we can, we saw the hope of thousands.
With a new day, take the time to awaken to your own life's purpose, reach inside to find the courage to change, make "Yes we can" an action.
