The anatomy of the shoulder should be first known before discussing shoulder pain. The shoulder girdle comprises of the clavicle, the scapula and the humerus. These three vbones articulate with one another and give the shoulder the free movement. The shoulder joint itself is a ball and socket joint. nnHence, shoulder pain may arise with either of the above three bones being fractured, or the ball is dislocated from the socket. nnThe shoulder pain caused by the dislocation of the ball from the socket is very severe and very distinct and can be detected by an experienced orthopaedic even without an X Ray. nnShoulder pains occured by fracture of the clavicle is the most common fracture at all ages and the fracture of the scapula is the lexx common fracture. nnShoulder pain also occurs when one is tense and is under stress. This generally does not require allopathy medication. Shoulder pains of these types are best treated with altenative medicine like oil massages, magnetic theraphy and acupuncture.
