There are tons of home remedies to try - some of them work, some of them don't. Whether they help treat your acne or not, these acne home remedies do indeed provide beneficial nutrients to the skin, so it really doesn't hurt to try them out. However, there are some home remedies that do lead to acne breakouts, since some of them contain skin irritants. So, always be observant of the home remedies you try, and hopefully one of these home remedies will work for you.
Home remedies may be cheap, but they may not always be as effective as you hope they may be. Since there is no such thing as a miracle acne cure, home remedies are often just a substitute when you're in the process of looking for a different acne treatment that works. Do not over use them, and when you see that the home remedy is making your acne worse, immediately stop using them. You don't want to have acne scarring.
One common acne treatment for both acne and red marks is apple cider vinegar and baking soda. No one is exactly quite sure why apple cider vinegar and not other types of vinegars, but since apple cider vinegar is the main trend, that's what we'll go with. The vinegar supposedly "detoxicates" the skin, removing junk from the skin. However, this vinegar smells very bad and can leave the skin stinking for a couple hours. Some people even recommend drinking apple cider vinegar. Some acne sufferers became completely clear by drinking this stuff, however it's very difficult to drink something so disgusting. Baking soda helps the skin exfoliate. By exfoliating the skin, you can remove dead skin cells, which may form acne if mixed with sebum. Apple cider vinegar and baking soda work together to combat acne.
There are many other home remedies, but the one above is by far the most popular one out there. Other remedies include toothpaste and other harmful ingredients, so use them at your own risk. Home remedies come and go, as their effectiveness really isn't as good as real acne treatments. They may work for some, but the majority of acne sufferers have no success with applying random chemicals to the skin.
