Delayed Gratification! Why would I want to wait on something when I can have it now? This attribute is the ability to focus on the long term consequence of your decisions today and having that translate into the appropriate action. This process is foundational to really successful people - whether in general life, happiness, productivity, health or business. To work toward, to lean forward looking for the results that will emerge from our decisions today - is vital!

Instant gratification is fleeting, satisfying for a moment; envision the ice cream that is wonderful to taste, exciting to the palate, energizes the body for a moment, and causes the brain to make very happy sounds! Later on, we wonder why we're gaining weight, experiencing highs and lows, becoming more de-energized, and craving another high moment.

Our good health is not instant - it is a process, an awareness of actions and choices to make us strong, resilient, building strong immunities, progressing toward re-generation and not de-generation and staying mobile!

Do you get enough correct nutrients or too much ice cream? What is your food drug of choice? Carbs? Too much protein? Sugar and sweets? Salt? Junk food in every form? Fats and fried foods? Can you get good food in a restaurant, can you cook in a health defined manner and still get some favorites on occasion?

We all must make the best choices when possible. We must supplement our systems with minerals because most of them are depleted in the cooking process or preserving process. Minerals can not be made in our bodies, they must be taken in through foods and supplements. When someone needs an iron rich diet, just how much iron rich food can they eat each day? We can get what we need, we can feel stronger, we can boast exceptional health, unless we carry a genetic deficiency that cannot be corrected. In this instance, of genetics, we can still move forward toward life in a very exceptional way!

In this progressive world of high tech, efficient, quick, communication and tools for living, buying and producing, staying on track for the long-term is often difficult. Excellent health is something we cannot have returned to us if we have ignored the signs of discomfort, dis-ease, lack of energy, low immunities and illness that comes too often. We must continually build up our bodies with focus on food with nutrients, life energy through proper healthy living habits, and being aware of 'how we feel'. Becoming in tune with the workings of our systems will give guidance to what might not be 'just right' or need attention and supplements. Life-force is determined by genetics, environment, thought processes, attitude, food choices, weight balancing and looking at the 'best' in life, instead of the more undesirable parts of life.

We must look upward, onward and toward our goals of being healthy long-term, and we are accountable to assist in making that happen. Do you have a plan? Are you working toward the goal of 'healthy' every after.. or at least until you've lived a long and fruitful life? Have you talked with those who say, " If I'd only taken better care of myself, I'd be able to live into old age, with so much more vigor and happiness".

Where does spirituality come into the equation? Real true faith? Do we have hope in every aspect, every day, that life can be better if we search for what is necessary to lead us in the right direction? Think about these things and make a difference, change everything for the better and know the full meaning of 'a fruitful life'. None of the singular ideas stand alone. We are complex, with our systems working in conjunction with each part - toward a healthy, happy example to others of -no matter what- we can control so much of our health and our happiness with our earthly choices. Make better choices every single day! See what happens......
