To celebrate a discovery, many people shout “Eureka!” It is Greek for “I have found it.” The Eureka Company strove to create new and exciting products to change the world and its founder, Fred Wardell, thought Eureka would be the perfect word to encapsulate his vision. In the vacuum industry, Eureka is one of the most well known names. The brand is sold in over forty countries around the world.

In 1909, Eureka was founded by Fred Wardell. At the 1915 San Francisco International Exposition, the Detroit, Michigan company won the Grand Prize. By 1927, one third of all the vacuum cleaners being sold in the United States were Eureka vacuum cleaners. The headquarters was moved from Detroit to Bloomington, Illinois in 1945 and has not been moved since. Electrolux Home Care Products North America purchased the company in 2004. With Eureka’s line of uprights, canisters, handheld vacuums, home built-in systems, stick vacuums, battery-powered vacuums, wet vacs, steam cleaners and home cleaning systems, it still manages to dominate the vacuum market as one of Electrolux’s four brands.

Eureka vacuum cleaners all come complete with a HEPA filter. High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters have an efficiency of almost 100%. This means dust and allergens down to 0.3 microns are captured. Allergy and asthma sufferers benefit enormously from HEPA filters. Your allergen filled air is transformed to sweet, cleaner and purer air when a HEPA filter is used.

Every cleaning dilemma can be solved with Eureka’s wide range of vacuum cleaners:

The Eureka 166DX is a lightweight vacuum cleaner. When you need to clean hard to reach areas like stairs and furniture, it converts into a hand vacuum. At its full length size, this vacuum is perfect for bare floors and delicate rugs. A crevice tool is included for above floor cleaning.

The Eureka 2950AV is an upright vacuum cleaner that features a spinning Edge Kleener. This Edge Kleener is exclusive to Eureka vacuum cleaners. It is comprised of spinning brushes that clean within millimeters of walls and baseboards without damaging the finish.

The Eureka 3670G is a canister vacuum cleaner that has a blower port. This increases your cleaning capacity by moving large debris out of the spaces you are cleaning. Also featured on this vacuum cleaner are on-board tools, a 360 degree swivel hose and an extra long power cord so that every corner of your home is spotless.

The Eureka 77A is incredibly lightweight at only 1.6 pounds. It is cordless and rechargeable so you are able to clean anywhere. You also do not have to worry about how to store the cord. Since the battery is rechargeable, you’ll save money on replacement batteries. The charger is wall mountable so it stays out of your way and is incredibly convenient.

This is just a taste of Eureka’s wide range of vacuum cleaners. More than 130 different models are available to Eureka’s customers. As well as a full line of cleaners, a complete selection of parts and accessories such as belts, bags, filters and other tools are available from Eureka. Saving you time and money is their goal. n
