Fluoride, it’s in your toothpaste and maybe even in your drinking water. The dentist paints it on your kids’ teeth and the ADA endorses it as a means to preventing dental caries. We have all been told it is good for us but are we being told the truth?

Fluoride is a waste product from the aluminum industry, the fertilizer industry and also the nuclear industry. In the 1930’s the aluminum industry was faced with the dilemma of what to do with the toxic fluoride wastes created by the smelting pf aluminum. By the 1950's ALCOA was faced with several lawsuits for dumping fluorides into the Columbia River and causing the death of fish and other livestock. The government and its nuclear industry also needed to find an outlet for the fluoride they were producing.. With World War II ending the government was in possession of records of experiments that the Nazis had added fluoride to the water to make prisoners docile. The government and several business cartels put their heads together and started a campaign to convince people that adding fluoride to the water would be good for the dental health of the population -thus turning a disposal problem into gold (note fluoride is considered toxic if dumped into a river but safe if added to your water supply). What’s even scarier is that originally they were adding sodium fluoride to the water supplies. Today the most common source of fluoride added to our waters is a fluoride acid that is scraped off of the chimney stacks Along with the fluoride are traces of heavy metals including lead, arsenic and boron.

Speaking of lead and arsenic do you know that fluoride has a toxic rating of 4.5, just above leads toxic rating of 4 and just below arsenic’s rating of 5 (5 being considered extremely toxic). This scale comes from “Chemical Toxicology of Commercial Products -1984. Some other facts that you may not know:
1) Fluoride is widely used as a rat poisoning.
2) Prozac and other antidepressants contain a form of fluoride
3) In Europe trucks carrying fluoride toothpastes must have hazardous cargo signage.
4) When fluoridated areas are compared with areas that don’t fluoridate there is not always a correlation in tooth decays rates. Statistics are often manipulated to include only those areas that fit the desired conclusion.
5) Most European countries do not fluoridate their water yet they have seen a decline in the rate of caries during the last half century.
6) Fluoride binds with aluminum and causes increased absorption of aluminum to the brain and may be a source of Alzheimer’s
7) Fluoride affects the pineal gland and also the thyroid gland (causing hypothyroidism)
8) Countries like India that have areas high in natural occurring fluoride have severe bone deformities
9) A Harvard University study showed an increase in bone cancers among boys in fluoridated areas.
10) Many people to day have white speckled teeth. This is called flourosis. It is caused by the incorporation of flouride into the teeth enamel in abnormal ways. Likewise fluoride gets incorporated into bone and causes abnormal bone possible resulting in osteoporosis.
11) Adding fluoride to water defies standard medical practices as there is no control of dosage to any person. Also it defies logic as much of the water we use gets washed down the drain when we shower, do the dishes, water the plants etc. and thus does not go to its intended use of supposedly reducing caries

This list could go on and on but I can’t. I encourage you to do your own research and come to your own conclusions.
