Eat Smaller Portions.
Americans have gotten used to larger food portions, such as the super-sized meals at McDonalds. When eating out have half of it boxed up before it reaches your table, or simply order the half sized meal. Most restaurants carry half sized meals. Do this so you won't feel tempted to overfill yourself. The half order is not only cheaper, but healthier for you as well.
Fruits And Vegetables Are A Must.
In order to lose weight, you must replace all that junk food with healthy alte
atives. The suggested serving is 4-5 servings of fruits and/or vegetables per day. The key to this, is keeping lots of fruits and vegetables around the house, and eliminate the unhealthy junk. Keep a bowl of apples and oranges at work, or some celery and carrots that you can easily grab while watching TV. Instead of reaching for a candy bar or that bag of chips, grab an apple and some cheese. A personal favorite of mine.
Set Realistic Goals.
Losing over 5-7 pounds is unhealthy and can be dangerous. A good medium is to set a goal of 2-3 pounds per week. Losing 2 pounds per week for 1 year would equal a whopping 108 pounds for that year! So even losing 1 pound per week for a solid year would be 52 pounds per year. Which is very realistic and doable.
Writing down every tip and trying it out to see if it will work for you is another great way to finding what works best for your body. Finding a great weight loss program could be your best bet. I can assure you these tips will help you to achieve that weight loss goal. Remember every body is different, so don't give up if it's harder then you expected.
