Proverbs 24:5-6
A wise man is mightier than a strong man and a man of knowledge is more powerful than a strong man. So don’t go to war without wise guidance; victory depends on having many counselors.
Anytime God gives you a vision, a dream or a plan to do something for His kingdom, whatever the dream may be; whether it is to launch out in ministry, start a business or go back to college, if it is from God than the devil WILL wage war against it.
Proverbs 24:6 tells us that we are not to go to war without wise guidance yet, all too often, people will get a promise from the Lord and run out to try and make the word happen without having sought God’s face, counsel from Christian leaders and preparing spiritually for the process.
As a prophetic voice in the Body of Christ I have had to learn to discern a person’s level of wisdom and speak into their lives based on their own personal ability to wait on God. We are given divine windows of opportunity to walk into destiny and when the window is opened we can walk into our destiny with supernatural strength and begin to see the impossibilities of this realm become realities in our life.
Unfortunately, the flip side of that is if we run head first into a vision that is still in seed form, we often times become disillusioned by the failure and never find the divine season & window of opportunity. If satan can get us pumped up enough about a vision and make us focus on how WE are going to do something great for God than he knows that he can make us abort destiny by bringing trouble into our lives.
The natural response of the flesh is to seek success and cringe at failure yet the wise understand that failure is a gift from God. It is the tutor that prepares us to succeed. Without failure we might very well take credit for our future success therefore God allows us to fail to keep us from robbing our future of His supernatural power and anointing.
Jesus said in John 12:24 that unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies it abides alone. But if it will die it will bear much fruit. Jesus was illustrating His own death and resurrection in this scripture yet it is multi-dimensional and applies to our lives as well. Every promise we have is a grain of wheat given to us by God. It represents a kingdom assignment and it will be of no use to Him as long as it remains in our hand.
If God has placed a call on your life than it will have to go into the ground and die before it brings a harvest for the kingdom. We must ask ourselves what do I love more? What is in my hand; my dream, my promise or the one who has given it? The question is not one that we should run from but one that we should welcome. Such self evaluation applies the spotlight of God upon our hearts and will hopefully cause us to place our seed into the ground willingly.
As I end this time with you I have only one plea- Don’t let your seed dry up in YOUR hand!!
