Looking Inside of You

In looking to professionally certify in a field I had been actively engaged in for years, I did a thorough search of coaching certification bodies and key individuals who were core members of the body. I was lead to the Certified Coaching Alliance, and had the good fortune of studying and completing certification studies and exams under Dr. Randin Brons. Randin is a very successful coach and much more, a wonderful instructor and a well published author.

As part of CCA, I regularly stay in touch with thinking in the coaching profession, and am pleased to incorporate Dr. Brons writings into my blogs. No one person is “the source” of good ideas!

Peace, joy, health and well-being can only be found inside us. They exist within us now, waiting to be discovered. Yet we tend to look to the outside world to satisfy our needs and longings.

Our outer life reflects back to us the way we think, feel and behave. The outer world is all effects. Go to the source inside for all of life's treasures.

How are you searching for peace and contentment outside of yourself?

As I began my own process of recovering a life that was “happy”, I made a great discovery. The life I wanted and the spiritual connection that was lacking was and had always been there; buried at journey’s start under deep layers of conscious ego.
Through a number of major influences, including Dr. Brons, sincerely wanting change and allowing myself to be teachable, I got in touch with where happiness and a higher power had always been; inside of me. Life is hard, I worked hard.

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work with and coach many from all over the world. While they express their goals in many ways- to find a new career, to be more successful in their jobs, to improve personal relationships, to build self-esteem, to live free from addiction or the effects of addiction- there is one simple truth.

When they are coached to look deep inside, and truly find who and what they are, and learn to make a simple leap of faith, they have the answers within. They need to be guided to the where. Through coaching, they (as I did) find it inside and learn to put it into practice in daily living by cleaning up the past, staying spiritually fit, and living in the now.
