If there is one factor that will influence whether or not a business will succeed or fail, it is association.
Of course, there are many factors that will determine if a business succeeds or not, but none rank higher than your attitude and association with others.

Entrepreneurship is not something the general public ever seriously considers as a way to make a living. We have constantly been taught that in order to succeed in life you must do certain things i.e. go to school, get a good education and then get a good job. Most people will support you in this effort because it is normal to do so. Ninety-Five percent of the U.S. population follows this train of thought. Is there something wrong with it? No, but there are income limitations here.

What happens when you decide to step out of the normal train of thought? You got it! Nay Sayers and negativity begin to creep in. Why? Because what you are trying to do is not what most people do. Despite these well meaning friends and/or family regarding your entrepreneurial ideas, they will still do whatever it takes to bring you back to what THEY think you should do...a JOB. These people will resist change because it's just normal for us to do that. We are creatures of habit and want everyone to do what they do.

I remember closely watching the faces of my family and relatives as I told them I was going into a business of my own. On the outside, they tried to appear supportive, but it was obvious from watching and listening to their comments that they wanted me working at a JOB, just like everyone else. They supported me, but they never purchased any products I sold or offered to help me in any way. They lived in the JOB mode. They were in a rut. Well meaning or not, they assisted in killing my dreams of entrepreneurial success.

I guarded myself carefully from any friends or family members who subtly said I should just stick with a JOB. "Just do what everybody else does...you'll be happy", they would say. Some friends told me I was being used. Some said entrepreneurship was just for rich people. Some said most businesses fail. Some said it takes too long to make money. Some said it costs too much money.

I never listened to them.....nor should you. Guard your attitude carefully. It is your major weapon against failure. Try to associate with well meaning people who will be your mentors of success!. Follow in the footsteps of those who have acquired what you want....do what they have done and you will succeed. Don't give up on your dreams of home business success or give in. Your persistence and patience will pay off in the long run.

What's your alternative? An 8-hour a day, 5 day a week JOB.... for many, many years to come.

The Evolution of the Doorstep Handshake In the early days of the renewable energy boom, the transition to solar power was often viewed as a purely transactional event. Homeowners saw panels on a roof, signed a contract, and hoped for the best. However, as the industry matured, the focus shifted from the hardware itself to the human connection that precedes the installation. This shift has turned a simple meeting into a cornerstone of business growth. The journey toward a sust
