People of all religions and spiritual persuasions are attempting to get at the root of their faiths. They are doing this by deepening their awareness and examining religious beliefs instead of just reading more books. They are searching for real answers this time to their deepest questions - "What is life about? What are the secrets of the universe? Is it possible to come face-to-face with God, or with the Source of all there is? What are we? Who are we?"

Could it be that the answers to these passionate questions are hidden in books not stumbled across yet, or are the answers locked deep in our hearts patiently awaiting our discovery, and offering us the possibility to comprehend the unimaginable depths of our being so that we can free ourselves from conflict? Can we come face-to-face with the Source of all understanding?

At times, we find answers through powerful experiences that dramatically change our lives. People recover from traumatic events or serious illnesses, for example, and become mystically transformed, as if they have been dropped into another lifetime, into another existence where their previous fear-driven, day-to-day struggles disappear in the wake of an incredible, liberating calmness. The unfounded and exaggerated fears that dominated their "previous lifetimes" now vanish, replaced by inexplicable feelings of purpose and love.

Must we wait for traumatic events to improve our lives, or can we choose, right now, to embark upon the ultimate pursuit and the deepest of human experiences, that mysterious state of mind coveted by truth seekers throughout history - spiritual enlightenment - or coming face to face with God. But how do we work toward it, and how will it change us? Indeed, why should we pursue this at all? And what are the qualifications to begin this extraordinary quest? More importantly, who will teach us?

Unfortunately there are no examinations to determine the depth of a spiritual teacher's understanding. If such a test existed, however, would it measure knowledge . . . or insight? And who has the credentials to judge such a thing? Do we fall in love by studying about love, or does love happen when we are open and vulnerable? Who, then, is qualified to teach?

The one qualified to teach must ultimately be you, for who else can prove things true to his or her own intuitive heart. Whom else would you believe? Teachers can point the way by offering authentic road maps of the hills and valleys they have trekked, they can indicate points of interest and hazards, but you are the one who now must travel if you want to see and touch the wonders of the landscape for yourself.

The only requirement to find unconditional understanding and love is resolve. It doesn't take a whiz kid or any letters after one's name to work toward coming face-to face with God, only a thirst for truth. You can do it yourself, regardless of your past. Christ received his education in the sparse desert - the Buddha in a lonely forest. Solitude was their core curriculum. Only their direct experience of the Source of Understanding within instilled the insight and wisdom required to teach others about the many subtle facets in this journey toward Truth - and to ultimately change the world.

Insight and wisdom can never be learned, only experienced because the answers to your deepest questions lie just beyond knowledge. So welcome to a unique journey!

Manifesting. It's one of those words that people are using a lot thanks to the slew of new books, infomercials, and movies that proclaim that nothing is earned and nothing is worked for, rather things "manifest" in one's life - as long as they "ask" or "think" the right things. Want a car? Visualize it. Think about it. Feel it. And then ... *BAM* ... It will "manifest" in your life. How about a million dollars? No problem! Once again, visualize it and feel it, and then ... *P
