The media, our politicians and our financial system have nothing good to say to us of late. If we were to listen to them and take it to heart, the sky is surely falling. I am not going to repeat the things they have been saying to keep us in fear. You all have heard enough of it to last a lifetime.
What I want to talk about is how what they are saying does not have to be our reality unless we let it be. Now is when we must, more than ever, become “F.R.O.G.s”. A “F.R.O.G.” is a person who is “Fully Reliant On God”. Despite what we see on the outside, we have to stand firm in the knowledge that God is our source.
Our jobs are not our source. Don’t you know of people who have lost their jobs and survived better on their own? Our spouses are not our source. How many people have regretfully divorced and yet still gone on to create fulfilling lives for themselves? Our bank accounts are not our source. If the money was sitting in an account you must not have needed it for today’s expenses. Today is all we have any say in. As the saying goes;” Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift, which is why it is called the Present.”
As the movie “The Secret” and many other metaphysical teachings tell us, our consciousness creates our reality. Despite all of the chaos and drama swirling around us and all of the purported catastrophes, it will never be anything beyond what we believe it will be. “As a man thinketh, so shall he (or she) be” the Bible tells us.
It is up to us to manage our own consciousness. No one can do that for us unless we abdicate the role totally to the collective/mass/race consciousness and right now that is not something I would advise. You can take your mind back and focus it on God/Christ/Buddha/Allah (or whatever you call the Life Force within you.)
This is the same Life Force that keeps your heart beating without any assistance from you. It also continues to operate your digestive track, your respiratory system and your nervous system-again not only without your help but, even more, in spite of your destructive behavior (bad food choices, little or no exercise, sleep etc.)
So how do we stay in the consciousness that keeps us balanced, prosperous and joyful despite what the rest of the world is experiencing? At a minimum we must (in my never to be considered humble) opinion:
1. Meditate - EVERDAY! I am not going to go on and on about Why or How to meditate. There are many books out about that. In fact you can click here to read my article “Seek the Silence” for more details on that.
2. Turn off the T.V. We need to spend our time on uplifting sources of information. Read the works of masters who would never consider for a second that they aren’t in control of their own circumstances based on their awareness of their own divinity. Read Marianne Williamson, Deepak Chopra, Wayne Dyer, Eckert Tolle not to mention the New Testament or A Course In Miracles or The Bhagavad Gita. Take responsibility for the food you feed your mind. Don’t hand that over to the news media that would be out of work if they didn’t daily stoke the fires of fear.
3. Create your own life on a daily basis. Write out your affirmations then listen to what resistance your subconscious offers. If it resists your affirmations then write that down to allow it a say. Next come up with an affirmation to respond to that resistant thought. Do this daily to instruct your mind on what you choose to be true for you. Once your subconscious gets it, it must comply with your direction.
Oh and one more thing:
4. Choose your company wisely. Be careful to stay away from any and all naysayers. Find positive people to surround yourself with. Read up on Mastermind Groups and find one to support you in raising your consciousness. These groups demonstrate an amazing power to help you manifest your dreams.
Today is a wonderful day. Today we are alive, well, fed, clothed, housed and happy. Stay focused on that and all will be well in your world.

WE ARE ONE
Tuesday, December 10, 2024 was a sad day for me. Legend R& B singer, Frankie Beverly passed away at the age of 77 years old. I had to pay tribute to the man who brought much joy to individuals around the world with his music. Frankie was born Howard Stanley was an American singer, songwriter, and producer known primarily for his recordings with the soul and funk band Maze. He formed Maze, originally called Raw Soul, in his hometown of Philadelphia in 1970. After moving to Sa
