Are your actions towards achieving your goal really congruent with your belief? Is your conviction consistent with your life’s mission and goals? If not then it’s time to work on your awareness of what you are truly capable of doing. It’s time to show the world what you are really made of. nnJust as important as assessing your life’s mission and goals and laying out concrete plans as to how to get to where you want to be is the awareness of what you possess or your internal and external resources. But when you run out of external resources such as job and money, what needs to remain strong is your internal resources. We know that it’s not about the lack of resources but the lack of resourcefulness. How often do we see people, including ourselves, surrender to circumstances such as the one that the world over is experiencing these days? Experts in the field of finance are warning of a global financial meltdown, bringing a sense of hopelessness to many people around the world and already, some are throwing the towel. nnHabits and past experiences have taught us to react negatively when faced with difficult situations, not realizing that within us a giant potential is just sitting, waiting to be called upon. But how many among us really realize this? We have the power to influence circumstances and make things happen. YOU HAVE THAT POWER. How much of it are you using?nnThe importance of realizing our power to make things happen is constantly drowned by all the stuff that the mass media such as the news on TV and on the Internet. The power within us is actually the only hope left that will enable us to rise up and take on life’s challenges successfully and beat the odds. Let’s repeat that. THE POWER WITHIN US IS ACTUALLY THE ONLY HOPE. Keep this awareness high right this very moment. Really think about it and let your emotions soar. Think about it. That power is in you! You already know it BUT what are you doing about it?nnWhat is your life’s mission? What do you intend to do to make a difference not only to yourself but also to the people important to you like your family or the people who you think would benefit from the values that your life mission can deliver. nnUpon realizing your life’s mission, assess your resources, external and internal. When you think about what you have you feel a sense of strength and motivation well up within you. For example, let’s talk about external resources like money, think of a time when you had a substantial amount that you successfully accrued after months of trying to clinch a huge deal (or just think of a time when you were handsomely compensated for your effort). How did the sight of a huge sum of money make you feel? Really go back to that sensation. You felt the rush of something powerful, right? nnNow, go back to that same experience, let’s take a look at the internal aspect of the scenario. Internal resources are your abilities to imagine and think creatively in the midst of difficult situations. Contemplate deeply how you drove yourself to successfully gain such substantial amount of compensation. How motivated were you? How confident were you back then? Really relive the experience by seeing in your mind how you felt back then. What skills were successfully used to their full potential? Did your ability to speak with much enthusiasm bring out the best in you? Were you at your best listening mode? Did your method of questioning dominate the entire scene? Now that you’ve realized how you attained success by using only your internal resources and after evaluating what you can do, how do you feel? Do you feel enthused? nnJust remember that when all external resources fail you can rely on your internal resources. Use your imagination and your emotions to its full capacity. Remember, in times like these when financial resources are scarce your resourcefulness help you see hope.
