Survivor or Casuality? Do You Have What it Takes?
These are challenging and demanding times for anyone trying to navigate the business and economic jungle. Attrition which is usually 10-20 %, could be 30-50% now, as foreclosures and going out of business keeps rising. It's not just the small business anymore, it's the big guys who are affected also. Even Starbuck's has closed over 100 locations domestially, as that $4 latte just doesn't seem important when that can translate into a gallon of gas.
What does it take now to stand out, make a difference and make an impact?
1) More knowledge-your product, customer, and market
2) Be authentic and share your passion.
3) Be more creative and innovative.
4) Help people collaborate.
5) Out service your competition all the time.
6) More consistent contact and use testimonial relationships.
7) More quality networking, show more face.
8) More referrals from your successes.
9) Think outside the box.
10) Be bold.
Returning to the basics and fundamentals, the things that got you where you are in the first place is essential. They will always get you there and they will help you stay positive and on top of your game regardless of any cycle. This is the most important time to build relationships and nurture the ones you have. Don't take a relationship for granted. You never know what can happen in a person's/customer's life.
