The Higher Self- Your Personal Connection to Source

It is important to connect to Source in order to access accurate intuitive information. In order to connect to Source, we must first connect with our Higher Self; the intermediary between the spiritual realms and our physical selves. In order to connect to your Higher Self, you must raise the vibration of your energy field. But what exactly is your Higher Self? Is it the "good" part of you; the part that shows up when everything is going well; the part of you that remembers your spouse's birthday or lets someone go ahead of you in the checkout line? n
If that's the concept of the Higher Self, then you may be wondering if you're spending most of your time in something called the Lower Self. While in fact, there are such terms in use today, they really don't serve us within this framework. That's because they suggest that we can separate ourselves into "parts", which fosters the idea of separateness. The term Lower Self has been used to designate the "Ego," which operates from a fear based state, while the term Higher Self has been used to designate the state we are in when we are operating from Love. n
When we operate from our Heart Center, we immediately access the energy of Love, which immediately and deeply connects us to Source. Love, in this framework, does not connote romantic love or sentimental love, nor does it connote feelings of compassion. Pure Love holds a much higher vibration than any of those feelings or states. It raises the vibration of your energy field to such a degree that you are able to connect to the realm of spirit, to access information previously unavailable to you, and to bring you into the profound realization that we are all One. When this occurs, even if you get a glimpse of it for one fleeting nanosecond, it will change your life forever. n
So, if you are on a spiritual path or if you are just beginning to realize that there may be some kind of meaning to all of this that we call life, then you may want to explore some type of practice to raise the vibration of your energy field. One note here: this is something that you have to do on a regular basis for it to have the desired effect. You may choose to meditate, to receive bodywork, or to go to a yoga class. But whatever you do, you will need to continue to do it, because when you raise your vibration and clear your field, it's like taking a shower. You can't just do it once and expect that you'll stay clean forever. Think of it as energetic hygiene. You have to keep it up so that the clearing continues, and with regular practice, you will achieve higher, brighter, clearer states. n
