The Hope Church

I have a dream! Martin Luther King, Jr. stated these very powerful words that moved the church from the pews to the streets to Washington so that the African American population could have the right to be free. I want to do this again and, I am calling the church to open it's eyes to see the suffering that is occuring all around them in the homes of many of their neighbors and, even brothers and sisters in the Lord. So, here is my plea and, my dream!
I have a dream that, one day, no one, man, woman, child or elderly resident of the America will have to be beaten or sexually abused in their home again. I have a dream that one day the church of Jesus Christ who is called to heal the brokenhearted, restore sight to the blind, preach good news to the poor, set the captives free and set at liberty they who are bruised, will find the courage to stand up for the oppressed and rescue them then, protect them from the evil that wants to destroy them. I have a dream that not one more child will be sexually abused by a relative or someone they trust because God's people made up their mind that such evil is not acceptable and will not be tolerated in their church nor their neighborhoods or even their own homes. I have a dream! I have a dream that not one more person will be beaten or emotionally abused by anyone under any circumstances but, all will know they are loved and valued in the eyes of the Lord! I have a dream! I have a dream that one day the church begin to love the Lord with all their heart, mind, soul and strength and love their neighbor as themselves so that freedom from fear and pain is eliminated. I have a dream! I have a dream that a Hope Church will be birthed to rebuild one's faith, restore one's confidence and renew one's hope in Jesus Christ after trauma and crisis. The Hope Church will be filled with courageous and compassionate people who are willing to embrace the abused, used, abandoned, neglected, rejected, persecuted, and grief stricken and, see to it that they know that they are created by a loving God and that they have a loving Father who wants to heal their broken hearts and bind up their wounds and restore their dreams. This is my dream and, I pledge to do all I can do to see this come about as did Martin. Then, the abused can say, like Martin Luther King, Jr. did: free at last, free at last, thank God Almighty, I am free at last! Amen and Amen!
