The 7 chakras of our body are arranged starting from the first root chakra up to the seventh top chakra which is located at the highest point on the top of our head. The seven energy centers are the root chakra or Muladhara, Swadhisthana, solar plexus or Manipura, Anahata, throat chakra or Vissudha, third eye or Ajna, and finally Sahasrara.
The first root Chakra Muladhara is located at the base of the spine and is closest to the ground. This chakra is the seat of the three most important channels of energy, ida, pingala and sushumna. On the whole there is more than 144000 nadis or channels of energy, but these three are most important. These nadis is usually not active. When the shakti of kundalini, which is spiritual energy awake the human consciousness starts to develop.
The second chakra is located approximately 4 cm below the navel. It orders the basic feeling and is also responsible for our sexuality.
The third or solar plexus chakra is responsible for our operation in a group of people. It has to do with our feelings of self-esteem. This center of energy is located below the sternum.
The fourth chakra is responsible for love. When it is open we feel love, we are sympathizing, affectionate and friendly. The chakra of the heart is located in the trunk.
The fifth chakra located at the throat governs the free expression and the personal speech. The best speakers control this chakra very successfully. If not balanced, there can occur problems in the personal expression, whereas lies can easily block this chakra.
Third eye chakra is found in the center between the eyes. Third eye chakra helps us to see the supernatural world, the world of the intuitions and imaginations.
The seventh chakra or crown chakra is also known under the name of Sahasrara is the center of wisdom and helps us to be one with the universe. It is located at the top of the head and is the most subtle of all chakras. This center of energy is related to the pure non-disturbed consciousness, and it is the one from which all others chakras emanate.
Each of the 7 chakras principles is operational at a certain level and has a distinct and definite goal in the body. The place of the chakras is indicative in regard to the task that each one of them is responsible for. The vibrations of the chakras helps the body to act in response to the situation given. Without our chakras, our bodies would be empty and we could not create balance in our lives.
