Hi Friendsnwhen you wake up in the morning what mood are you in? Are you in a happy mood?
Or are you one of those people who wake up in apprehension of what the day might bring? We tend to forget that our thoughts lead us to feel a certain way...this makes us behave in a certain way...and that leads to the habits we adopt...the decisions we make ...the actions we take....inevitably the results we get spring from the thoughts we had in the first place......
So the big question is what thoughts are you thinking?
I love the quote...."Step aside from all thinking and there is nowhere you cannot go". if we would just remember that we are not our thoughts...our thoughts come and go as they please..if we would just stand aside and observe them...not judging whether they are good or bad..just acknowledging them and not letting them influence the decisions we make....we would be free.
Free to create the life we want....there would be no criticizing..complaining or condemning.....we would not wait for things to be right before we take action....we would understand that we are not inferior beings....we were born with the right to take control of our world. If we would just stop blaming others for our situation and understand that we are responsible for everything that happens to us ...through us...and by us....life would just be great.
So take control of your thoughts...if you don't ...you suffer......suffering is optional....You have the freedom to choose what you want to think. We have been misled to believe that we have no control over what happens to us...Wrong!!!! every single moment of the day we have the ability to choose how we want to think...feel...behave and act. Its only fear that stops us...fear of taking risks...fear of failure...fear of what others might think..
Epictectus said...We are disturbed not by what happens to us...but by our thoughts about what happens to us.
So let go! Choose what we want to create and then watch it happen.
Thats the way forward.
