Christmas candles are an integral part of every family which celebrates Christmas, particularly those who value traditions. Sure, light bulbs seem to have taken over candles in a big way, but can anything really replace the warmth and fragrance that a candle oozes in Christmas? I don't think so!

Having said that, there are some precautions you need to take when lighting a Christmas candle, so as to make sure your house doesn't get gutted in fire! After all, you don't want this Christmas to be your last Christmas, do you?

1. Select a suitable range of candles: To be on the safe side, you need to exercise extreme caution when buying a candle. When it comes to Christmas candles, I usually go for the ones which are based on the theme of Christmas trees and Santa Claus, as I have found that they are less likely to cause fire hazard at home!

Even if you are limited by the size and design of candles you can buy, you can still find a variety of candles with different aromas within these limits. Speaking of aromas, I might also mention that some people are allergic to certain fragrances; if you are one of them then make sure to avoid any fragrance which you are allergic to!

2. Select the position: Once you have purchased a suitable Christmas candle, it is now time to find the best places to display this candle. If you want to put it on a table, make sure the table is large and that the candle is placed at the center of the table! You can also position it on your window sills!

The fireplace mantle is another suitable place for displaying the Christmas candles. However, no matter where you place it, if your candle is kept in an unsuitable holder, it may fall off and cause a fire hazard, which is why I asked to you to find a candle which comes either in a well-fitting holder or jar!
