What does your checklist look like when you are shopping for a new home for your family? For most of us, a home buying checklist includes a quiet neighborhood, good schools, new appliances… but does your home buying checklist include good feng shui elements?
How do you know if a home you are considering buying has good feng shui properties? If you have a good working knowledge of feng shui, you can probably pick up on many of the potential problems that can exist in a home you are looking at. However, sometimes a more direct approach is to talk to the neighbors to find out a little bit about the history of the home.
How can this help you determine whether or not feng shui problems exist in a home you are thinking about buying? Well, if you take some time to talk to the neighbors, not only will you determine whether or not it is a good area for you and your family, you will also uncover patterns about people who have lived in the house before you.
If you hear that neighbors tell you that every owner of the house has experienced the same sorts of problems, whether they are financial, relationship, or other types of problems, this will give you a clue to look for elements of the house that may be causing problems in that area of each occupant’s life.
For example, if you find out that each owner of the house has experienced relationship difficulties, you may want to look at the love and relationships area of the home (the right rear section of the property) to see if there is some element that is missing, or otherwise incompatible with harmonious relationships.
Likewise, if you find that each of the occupants of the home have experienced difficulties with finances, you may want to take a look at the wealth and prosperity area of the home (the left rear area of the home) to see if that area is overgrown, poorly cultivated, or otherwise unable to support abundance and wealth.
Once you have uncovered the history of a home by talking to neighbors, it can be very easy for you to find and correct feng shui problems that are present in a home. Nearly any feng shui problem can be corrected with a few simple changes in design, or a few landscaping additions.
So while you are busy checking out the school system and the neighborhood crime rates, make sure to take some time to talk to the neighbors of a house you are considering buying – this can save you a lot of time and effort in trying to find out what elements of your home can cause problems for you and your family down the road.
