Spiritual consciousness means that when the intellect affirms the Divine Presence the whole consciousness feels the meaning of what the intellect has affirmed.n–Ernest HolmesnnSpiritual consciousness often sits on the sidelines of our lives, waiting for us to come to it in our moments of spiritual practice. It need not be relegated to such a narrow piece of the pie. At its core, spiritual consciousness means wholeness, so why not apply it to the whole of life? It brings joy, love, and serendipitous revelations wherever it is invited. nnChallengesn nIf there is something that you want, but you cannot seem to bring it into reality, consider cultivating wholeness. Not just wholeness in general—I’m talking about wholeness in relation to manifesting the life your heart desires. n nAs you become whole on any subject, you bring yourself into powerful alignment with the Divine Presence. Wholeness, in this context, means that you are quiet within on a subject that shows much activity without. Wholeness, regarding manifestation, means that you have no conflict in your vibration. You are a united being, an uninterrupted flow, a single voice. You are clear and strong on the subject, whatever it may be. Once these attributes are yours, your manifestation is assured.n nWhether the topic on your mind involves relationships, finances, career, body, mind, or emotions, becoming whole on the subject offers you a total transformation of your current circumstances. nnTry Thisn nHow do you become whole on a subject that is troubling you? First, pick your topic. Anything will do. You may want to focus on a general issue such as your career or your marriage. You may be distracted by a very specific challenge such as a computer malfunction or a health setback. Whatever is calling to you in the moment presents the perfect doorway into this process.n nThis is also a good exercise to do in the morning before getting out of bed. Your theme does not have to reflect a challenge. This exercise can simply focus your energy for the day. Keep this page on your night table. See what’s on your mind when you wake up, and choose that as your topic.nn1. Sit quietly, and turn your attention inward. Invite the Divine Presence into your awareness. Open your mind to an expanded perspective. Consider the possibility that a beneficent force of immense proportion has partnered with you on this journey.nn2. Now, turn your attention to your topic. Get a little distance from your swirling emotions. Do this by sensing the shape created in your energy field by all the mental and emotional activity on your chosen topic. Although you may perceive a distinct shape, you will more likely encounter a general feeling or an abstract sense of its pattern of movement. You can’t do this incorrectly. Just get a sense of the issue as it sits in your energy field.nn3. Once you have a sense of this cloud of activity and its shape, maybe even its color and texture, realize that you are bigger than it. You can tell you are bigger than it because you must be outside of it in order to sense its shape.nn4. Once you have a sense of yourself as larger than the calamity of energy crosscurrents, look within your true heart for your singular desire on this subject. Look for the desire that harmonizes with every part of you—one that is undeniable, incontestable. It is rooted in your essence. It will probably be related to a desire for unconditional love, inner peace, or personal freedom as it relates to your chosen topic. For example, your desire for money may be rooted in a desire for freedom; your desire for a romantic partner may have its roots in a desire for unconditional love.nn5. Once you discover the desired root feeling, find it within yourself (even though circumstances may not yet match the feeling). Seat yourself in the center of that feeling of unconditional love, personal freedom, or whatever you found to be at the center of your desire. Become soaked in the feeling of that essence. It does not need a name, a form, or any other distinctions. It may simply be a feeling, but you recognize it as your own, just as clearly as you recognize your face in a mirror. As you bathe your awareness in this feeling, you can tell that this desire is the natural extension of your spirit, and it feels good when you fill your world with its essence.nn6. Imagine that the air is filled with this feeling. Imagine that your world is made of this tone.nn7. Become whole on this feeling. Sense that it is who you are. It is all that is. nnThis process should feel soft and incomparably soothing. If it doesn’t, go back and do some tweaking. The purer you get in recognizing your heart’s desire, the better this process will feel, and the more miraculous will be your manifestation.n nAchieving wholeness on a topic invokes the Divine Presence. It is a purification practice, and it promotes inner alignment. It also unfurls, in colorful and satisfying ways, the life your heart desires.n nA version of this article was first published in phenomeNEWS, 18444 West 10 Mile Road, Suite 105, Southfield, MI 48075, http://www.phenomeNEWS.com.nn** This article is one of 101 great articles that were published in 101 Great Ways to Improve Your Life.
