What separates the good businesses from the bad ones onnthe Web? Knowing THIS can make you or break you so it'snworth the time to take a look.nnAnyone with a dial-up account and an idea can be in businessntoday. But is that a good thing? Many think that the onlynpathway to success is to think up a TOTALLY NEW idea andnthen maybe success will follow.nnWhile this can happen, it's often MUCH better to align yourselfnwith someone who has learned from experience what works andnwhat doesn't. A HUGE advantage in doing this is that the companynhas paved the way for you to succeed. Gambling with your futurenis pretty scary stuff. So, what do you look for in a partner?nnA SOLID COMPANYnnBe sure to find a company that has been around for a while.nHave they been successful? Have they had complaints lodgednagainst them? Are they up front about what they do or arenthey hiding behind pages of hype? These questions, plus thenquestions YOU come up with, are the right place to start.nnDon't be afraid to ask, this is YOUR future.nnARE THEY FINANCIALLY SOUND?nnThe sound of desperation is unmistakable. To want you tonparticipate is one thing, to act like the world is endingnif you don't is a very bad sign. Ask all the questions younneed to. This is business, there are no stupid questions.nnDO THEY HAVE STRONG MANAGEMENT?nnEven if the company is a financial powerhouse and have beennaround for hundreds of years, your investigation isn't over.nASK QUESTIONS about who is running the show and ESPECIALLYnabout their experience in THIS particular business.nnApple learned the hard way about hiring top people that didn'tnhave a clue about the computer industry. Make sure the topnpeople in YOUR potential business KNOW what they are doing.nnDO THEY SELL WHAT PEOPLE WANT AT A GOOD PRICE?nnIf they sell what people want, they don't have to be the lownprice leader to succeed. People don't buy on price alone ornno one would EVER drive a $50,000 car; they'd ride a bikeninstead. ALSO, if they have the cheapest price in town on petnrocks you won't go very far there either. Make sure you findnthe right product at the right time at the right price.nnRemember, THIS IS YOUR FUTURE. Don't settle for less thannthe best. The questions above are an excellent starting pointnbut no matter how many questions YOU use, don't make a movenuntil you are satisfied that it's the RIGHT move for YOU.
