Oral antibiotics is prescribe to one after initial acne treatment doesn't work. Basically, oral antibiotics do two things for your acne treatment. It helps to reduce your acne inflammation and wipe out all the good and bad bacteria in your body. By annihilate all bacteria in your body, p.acnes, the bacteria largely responsible for acne is also eliminated.

Is antibiotics he most effective acne treatment ? Or is it just all hype? Below I shall talk about three reasons why you should not use antibiotics treatment, and should never depend on it for long-term acne treatment.

The first important reason why you should not use antibiotics for your acne treatment is because they won’t treat your acne at all. Confused? Even though it not only kills P.acnes, but also all other good bacteria in your body, but is it workable in a long run? It is impossible to depend on antibiotics for long term acne treatment, period.

The truth is that, bacteria is EVERYWHERE, it is impossible to totally annihilate bacteria. One seconds you kill all, another million of their blood brothers appears. If it is not possible to totally get rid of bacteria, it is also not possible to treat acne using antibiotics. No question about it. Yes I do think that for a short period of time, it could aids to get rid of existing acne, but for long-term, using it for acne treatment is foolish.

The way to treat acne is just like flu. There’s no way you can totally eliminate the entire flu virus. It works the same for acne; there's no chance you can wipe out all the bacteria in your body. And much like flu, the way to prevent bacteria from spreading is to prevent growing inhabitant for it. You have to demolish all the bacteria homes and they won't be able to survive long living homeless .

The second reason why you should not use antibiotics is because antibiotics builds up resistance against antibiotics overtime. Thus, using oral antibiotics as a long-term acne treatment sounds illogical.

Lastly, when you take in antibiotics, it is actually also killing the good bacteria in your body, and this will definitely affect your general health. As what you have learned from in your biology classes, these good bacteria actually helps a lot in our general health.

Killing the good bacteria will severely affect your body's digestive system. Toxins will than take to take over your body. Till the moment where toxins in your body is too much for your kidney to handle, it will ditch the all the toxic to your external organ, your skin. Suppose that if toxin were to be cast off to your skin, acne eruption will definitely be inevitable.
