With the holiday season nearing, a lot of families are planning to go someplace less explored this time. With half the world’s population visiting Dubai, New York and other shopping capitals of the world, most families are trying to opt for a less crowded, peaceful getaway.

rnFor such families, Vancouver BC is one of best options this holiday season. Situated in North America (Canada), Vancouver BC is the largest Metropolitan city in the region. Situated in the most beautiful locale, Vancouver is nestled between the Coast mountains and the Pacific Ocean and is divided into three broad districts: West side, Downtown and East Van.

But, since it’s a less explored country, one needs to understand how to get to Canada and enjoy their wonderful vacations there.

rnVancouver International Airport serves as a hub for flights that connect Canada to Asia, US and several places in Europe. There are other ways to get to Vancouver, by car or by train. But, for this it is important to get to places like Seattle or Abbotsford from where you could hire a car or catch a train to the desired destination. There’s a ferry service too but they don’t work within the city limits in the region.

British Columbia offers a wide range of spectacular places to visit.

Whistler/Black-comb Mountain Ski Resort, Tofino (In Vancouver Island), Okanagan Valley or the Kootenays are some of the most visited places in this amazing place. Apart from exploring the Rockies, cycling in the Inner Harbour, witnessing the ocean storms in Tofino, you could take a stroll in the Stanley Park or see the aquarium there and visit the historical Langley Centennial Museum.

rnApart from the gazillion options in case of sightseeing, Vancouver BC offers a wide range of recreational sports for the tourists. An important recreational sport one should never give a miss while visiting Vancouver is Skiing. Every tourist makes it a point to ski in British Columbia. Not only is it a regionally loved sport but the climate and geography of the place makes it one of the most beloved skiing spots in the world. Golf BC is also an important sport. While, ski is sufficient for the adrenaline rush, Golf brings out the more sporty side in you!

Therefore, in this year’s holiday season, explore Canada and bring out the unexplored side of you!
