Marketing a product can take many paths, but actually getting it into the hands of potential customers is one of the best. Travelling exhibitions can be easily set-up with the right roadshow trailer. Whether renting or buying a display trailer, it is like bringing your manufacturing plant to the customer for an informational show. When the public can touch and feel the product, or at least view it up close, they form a mental link to it. Later, this is the product the customer will want, rather than a competing brand they did not handle. Choosing a roadshow trailer takes planning and deciding how the presentation will look. Occasionally, a training trailer will get used as a travelling classroom, lab or medical clinic. Recently in Scotland, an awareness campaign was begun by the British Red Cross. Their decision to use a travelling trailer for their cross-country agenda turned out to be efficient and economical. Stopping in small communities where the residents received little outside information, they were able to give out advice concerning the upcoming winter weather. These exhibitions on wheels come in all sizes and equipped with a variety of options. Freezer coolers can encompass the whole trailer, or only part. One ice-cream manufacturer took to the road in a rented display truck, stopping anywhere a crowd was scheduled to gather. After opening the demonstration side of the truck, posters showing the process of making the ice-cream were set up. People who came over to the display had a chance to read the material and ask questions while they waited for their free ice-cream cone. Display trucks can also be used for bringing specific services to the public, especially in out of the way places. Veterinarians can take a vaccination team on the road, to give dog and cat owners in remote areas the chance to bring their pets for shots. Dentists also have used the benefits of a roadshow trailer to take the profession to the people, either as informational sessions or actual dental appointments. Having a dedicated trailer that always has the gear ready to go is desirable, but renting the right rig each time is possible. For those who only need an annual or bi-annual exhibit though, renting is usually the best idea. Accessories that will really make a demonstration memorable are stands, tents, booths, pagodas, and seating areas. Exhibition trailers can be equipped with television screens, sound booths and just about anything imaginable. Hydraulic levelling sensors to adjust for uneven ground are another feature that helps to put promotional trailers at the forefront of best advertising solutions. Whether new or used, an exhibition trailer can bring portability to any product or service. Recently, an articulated trailer was contracted to participate in a travelling computer training lab. Fully equipped as any classroom would be, it had ten individual computer stations inside plus plenty of room for the instructor. The cab area was fitted with a generator, heater, small kitchen and bed making it a temporary home on wheels for its' driver/operator. One of the more unusual uses for this type of trailer, is currently still in use in West Sussex. Equipped with a horse hydro-therapy tub, it travels around the country to race-tracks, horse shows, and to private breeders who raise show horses. For overused tendons, there's nothing better for a horse than a soak in a hydro-pool, to stimulate the healing process. With the horse spa in the back of the trailer, the front half was outfitted with full accommodations for the driver and veterinarian. Included in this trailer is a galley, living area, sleeping quarters and complete bathroom facilities.
