A Goal to Pay off $72,900 worth of Debt by April 2009

I am tired of living in debt up to my eyeballs and want to regain control over my finances. This is why I have set a goal to be debt free by April 2009.nnGetting rid of $72,900 worth of debt is not going to be a easywalk in the park, my husband makes a very small salary already and I am a stay-at home mom of three kids.nnEven more, my husband is losing his job in July 2007 after being diagnosed with severe epilepsy, which cannot be stopped with medication.nnOur forth baby is due to be born that same month. Even with all this going on, we are resolved and motivated to achieve our debt free dream.nnOur debt pay off plan is to earn an income online through legitimate work at home programs. I have been able to find a few really good ones so far and have been able to start a small income, which my plan is to build over the next couple years.nnIt will take much work to be achieve a goal of making money online and paying off debt, I am putting in many hours because we are in a sink or swim position in our lives right now.nnWhen my husband loses his job in July 2007, we are moving in with his parents while we pay our debts off and save some money for a home for our family. My husband plans to do as many side jobs as possible to supplement our income and work us out of debt.nnOur motivation to be debt free is very strong, even to the point that we are willing to work constantly and give up all the luxuries of day to day life that most people get to enjoy.nnWe have no cable television, we choose not to go out to eat, we only buy clothes for the kids when they clearly need them and we choose not to buy clothes for ourselves.nnWe choose not to visit the movies, order take out food or go anywhere that requires us to spend money. Our children do not get any new toys or games. Unless those that come as gifts from grandparents.nnI do not want to sound like we deprive our kids. We do free activities with them so they have some entertainment, such as go for walks and play at the park.nnWe do not cook any expensive meals. The staple of our diet consists of beans & rice and other cheap meals such as pastas, baked potatoes, and vegetable stir-fry.nnWe put our family into debt, so it is our duty to work ourselves out of it. We have to sacrifice in order to meet our debt free goal.nnI invite you to watch our progress as we dig ourselves out of debt and towards financial independence.
