British Airways
British Airways is one of the world’s oldest and largest airlines. It is the flag carrier of the United Kingdom and has its main hub at London Heathrow Airport. The airline is one of the leading names when it comes to air travel safety. British Airways has not been involved in any fatal accidents for nearly four decades now. The popularity of the airline among travellers makes cheap air tickets on its flights a sought after commodity.
Qantas
rnAustralia’s flag carrier, Qantas is the country’s largest airline and is considered one of the best in the business – a fact that has been vindicated multiple times by Skytrax. This Australian airline is one of oldest too and currently serves over 180 destinations in 44 countries. Qantas has made some 2.5 million flights without any major incident and this is a reason enough to address Qantas as a ‘safe airline’.
Air Canada
Air Canada is the flag carrier of Canada as well as the nation’s largest airline. The airline was founded in 1936 and it currently operates flights to more than 150 worldwide destinations. An Air Canada flight was involved in a fatal accident in 1983 but since then the airline has managed to operate millions of flights without any major hiccups. The airline is indeed a safe alternative for travellers.
Emirates
Emirates is a very recent addition to the gamut of airlines that are operating all across the world. But to its credit, this Dubai-based airline has managed to creep into the hearts of passengers. Emirates is the largest airline in the Middle East and operates more than 2,400 flights every week, and connects over 100 cities in some 60 countries. The carrier has won many accolades for its commitment to safety, operational excellence and customer service. The airline has never been involved in any major flight accidents.
Finnair
Finnair is another carrier that maintains very high standards of safety. Finland’s flag carrier, Finnair is one of the oldest airlines still in operation. The airline’s route network comprises 55 international destinations. Finnair has a virtually blameless flying history.
Cathay Pacific
Cathay Pacific, founded in 1946, maintains its hub at the Hong Kong International Airport. The airline connects to nearly 100 worldwide destinations. Cathay Pacific’s last fatal accident occurred in the year 1972 and since then the airline has safely operated a million flights.
