Personality disorders: 1. Antisocial Personality: People who have this type of disorder (usually men) have a callous disregard for the rights and feelings of others, and to achieve some material gain or personal gratification, exploit others. Possess characteristics such as poor frustration tolerance, hostile or violent, do not feel remorse or guilt, on the contrary, cynically rationalized his behavior and blame others. People with antisocial personality disorder are often prone to alcoholism, addiction, sexual deviancy, and promiscuity. They are likely to fail in their jobs and move from one place to another. 2. Narcissistic Personality: People with this disorder feel superior to others and an exaggerated belief in their own value or importance. Since they believe to be superior to others, they are waiting to be admired, and suspect that others would envy. Feeling that their needs should be met without delay, they therefore often exploit the others. Their behavior is often offensive to others and they are self-centered, arrogant or mean. 3. Obsessive-compulsive personality: They are formal, reliable, orderly and methodical, but sometimes cannot adapt to changes. Their responsibilities will create anxiety and they rarely find satisfaction with their achievements. They are often great professionals, especially in science and other intellectual fields, where order and attention to detail are essential. However, they may feel detached from their feelings and uncomfortable with their relationships or other situations where they do not have control, such as unpredictable events or when to trust others. 4. Schizoid personality: People with schizoid personality are introverted, self-absorbed and solitary. They are cold emotionally and socially distant. They are often absorbed in their own thoughts and feelings and are fearful of the approach and intimacy with others. They speak little, and prefer theoretical speculation to practical action. Fantasy is a common way to face reality. 5. Borderline Personality: People who suffer from this disorder (usually women) are unstable in the perception of their own image, in mood, behavior and relationships. They often show inappropriate and intense anger, accompanied by extreme changes in their vision of the world, themselves and others (changing from black to white, from love to hate or vice versa but never to the neutral position). If they feel abandoned and alone, they may wonder if they really exist (that is, they're not real). They can become desperately impulsive, engaging in promiscuity or substance abuse. They sometimes thereby lose touch with reality where they have brief episodes of psychotic thinking, paranoia and hallucinations. 6. Paranoid personality: They project their own conflicts and hostility toward others, are cold and distant in their relationships. They are unable to see their own role within a conflict. Although they often work in relative isolation, they can be highly efficient and conscientious. Sometimes people who already feel alienated because of a defect or disability (including deafness) are most vulnerable to paranoid ideas.
