When we are dosing off and our mind wanders and then all of a sudden our arm moves in connection to an image we saw in our minds eye. This shows that our bodies are still responding to stimuli from the brain just as if the imagery were really happening.

Take for instance if a person is dreaming and they are being chased by a lion, studies show they still have very small contractions of their muscles just as if they were running away from the lion. And they also have stress hormones flowing through their body just as if they were really being chased by a lion. This has been proven in hundreds of studies about stress. The reality of the situation is our brain doesn’t know the difference between a dream, being awake, and what we visualize in our mind, what we see on TV, or at the movies.

And that’s why it’s important to visualize, think, dream, and watch uplifting images. Every time we have some type of negative imagery come into our mind eye it impacts our mind/body. And right now we are seeing a lot of people who are stress out and overwhelmed and have adrenal fatigue, because they allow all kinds of negative imagery into their life.

We are the keepers of the trash bin of the mind, and we are the clean up crew. We are the only ones who can sweep the floors of our mind and get rid of all the clutter and extraneous materials that are not needed and even do harm to our mind/body. All of this has been talked about in spiritual texts for thousands of years, saying that it’s important to cleans our mind of everything which is not up lifting.

Here are three ways to cleans the mind:

Practicing Meditation Twice Daily

Silently Saying The Name of Great Spirit All Day Long

Constantly Visualizing Something Relaxing and Wonderful

Meditation is like going into a room filled with lots of file cabinets and all the files are out on the floor in a terrible mess, and most of the files are open. Meditation picks up all the files, puts them away, closes them, and throws out a few files that are not needed. Thus the clutter of the mind is gone and we can think clearly and have great peace.

And silently saying a personal name of Great Spirit helps to keep those files from getting pulled out of the cabinet in the first place. And visualizing something uplifting, peaceful, and loving also helps to keep the clutter in the file room down… thus allowing the mind to find great peace.

The more we fill our mind and days with peaceful uplifting images, the more our mind tends to flow towards peace. The end result is we have less stress hormones moving through our body which helps prevent adrenal fatigue, thus we feel more relaxed and we sleep better, and it’s also important to eat right, exercise, and rest.
Many Blessings to Everyone!
