If you are looking to get bigger then you must implement a smart weight gain diet to gain muscle mass. Without the proper diet and nutrition in place you will never be able to push your body to its fullest muscle building potential. Before constructing a diet plan you first need to understand which types of foods are needed in order to gain muscle mass. Without the proper building blocks you will likely fall short of your goals. Gaining weight is not a simple science. It takes careful planning, proper nutrition, and the discipline to stick with it for a long enough period of time to see results.

A smart weight gain diet should consist of:

  • Meats
  • Nuts
  • Whole Grains
  • Water
  • Liquids with Electrolytes
  • Eggs

Meats are known for being rich in proteins. If you have been reading about weight gain for any length of time then you have probably already been told that eating meat is the single best thing you can do to increase your chances of gaining weight. No other class of foods can rival the protein content of meats. This includes chicken, steak, pork, fish, etc.

Nuts are also known for containing a large array of proteins that are essential for muscle growth. It is important to get your protein from multiple sources and not only from just meats. Also, the protein found in nuts is different than the protein found in meats. Therefore, it will act differently in the body and increase the overall effectiveness of your weight gain diet.

The importance of whole grains can not be under stated when it comes to building muscle and gaining weight. Whole grains provide the complex carbohydrates that the body uses in conjunction with proteins to pack on serious mass. This is why you see complex carbohydrates added in bulk to every weight gain supplement on the market. If there were not incredibly effective they would be left out of mass gainers.

Not drinking enough water is the single biggest mistake made by beginners who are new to gaining weight. Drinking a lot of water should be the staple of any effective weight gain diet. Without water your body can not convert the carbohydrates and proteins your body consumes into added tissue. Water acts as both a building block, transporter, and fuel for generating new tissues.

Water is not the only important liquid that you need to supplement with to increase weight. Liquids that are high in electrolytes are also essential to generating new tissue. Without electrolytes your body slows way down. When your body slows down it is unable to convert nutrients into new tissues as efficiently. The net result is that you do not reach your full potential. There is a reason that all athletes supplement with Gatorade.

Another largely important protein source that deserves being mentioned in a class of its own and that is insanely effective is eggs. Eggs contain a special type of protein that is slow releasing. By eating eggs in the morning you can assure yourself that your body will have a constant supply of protein all day. This will pay huge dividends towards increasing the effectiveness of your weight gain diet.

Movement is one of the most honest forms of self-connection. The body never lies. It holds stress, records emotion, and reveals when something feels off. For many, this is why exercise has always been more than fitness; it’s therapy through motion. But not all movement heals. Some styles exhaust, others distract. True healing often begins in the slow, intentional kind, the kind that lets the body lead and the mind follow.rnThat’s where precision-based training, such as re
