“A Spiritual Way to Jump Start the Day”
When we get up in the morning it’s easy to feel tired and allow the day to drag. But here are a few things we can do to empower our day and jumpstart the whole process of waking up… and thus feel great about life all day long.
Mirror Work
First thing in the morning it’s important that we look ourselves in the mirror and tell ourselves a little process that empowers our day.
Say the following phrases three times each, while looking into your eyes in the mirror. Feel free to personalize and make your own mantras for starting the day.
I love you God,
I love you God,
I love you God,
If you have a avatar that you pray too such as Jesus, Buddha, Krishna, Sai Baba, Divine Mother, Paramahansa Yogananda, or someone else - also add that here… I will use Sai Baba here as an example.
I love you “Sai Baba”,
I love you “Sai Baba”,
I love You “Sai Baba”,
I love you ________ (your own name),
I love you ________ (your own name),
I love you ________ (your own name),
I love my body and take care of my body according to “Sai Baba” will,
I love my body and take care of my body according to “Sai Baba” will,
I love my body and take care of my body according to “Sai Baba” will,
I help millions of people according to “Sai Baba’s” will,
I help millions of people according to “Sai Baba’s” will,
I help millions of people according to ‘Sai Baba’s” will,
“Sai Baba” helps everyone and everything in the multiverse,
“Sai Baba” helps everyone and everything in the multiverse,
“Sai Baba” helps everyone and everything in the multiverse,
I am enlightened according to “Sai Baba’s” Will,
I am enlightened according to “Sai Baba’s” Will,
I am enlightened according to “Sai Baba’s” Will,
Thy will be done “Sai Baba”,
Thy will be done “Sai Baba”,
Thy will be done “Sai Baba”,
Today is a great day according to “Sai Baba’s” will,
Today is a great day according to “Sai Baba’s” will,
Today is a great day according to “Sai Baba’s” will,
I’m happy because God dwells within my heart,
I’m happy because God dwells within my heart,
I’m happy because God dwells within my heart,
Prayer
Say a prayer of gratitude for the day, here is a very simple and short example:
“Thank you God for allowing me to have another great day. I look forward to sharing my love, and having love in my heart all day long. If someone should push my buttons I will bless them and send them love. I will forgive, forget, and move on with life with love in my heart. I send love to everyone in the world, and great blessings to Mother Nature for Mother Nature feeds me every day… and takes care of my material needs as you do God. - Amen!”
Meditation
Then to do 30 minutes of meditation while sitting in a comfortable chair, or cross legged on the floor, with your eyes closed and concentrating on your breath.
Start with a body scan while breathing deep, starting at the top of your head working down the body, saying silently with each breath, “I relax my head, I relax my face, I relax my neck, I relax my shoulders, I relax my upper arms, I relax my elbows, I relax my lower arms, I relax my hands and fingers, I relax my heart and lungs, I relax my abdomen and all my internal organs, I relax my hips, I relax my upper legs and knees, I relax my calves, I relax my feet and toes, I relax all of my skin, I relax every nerve, all of my skin, and even every cell in my body.
Then going back to concentrating on breathing, in and out, and if a thought comes in say “I see that and I will get back to that later” and go back to concentrating on breathing. Soon the breathing disappears and peace takes over… allowing great healing to take place in our mind, body, and spirit.
Simple Yoga
Then take the time to do 3 or 4 simple yoga positions that are easy, such as “Salutation to the Sun” which can be found on the internet for the exact positions. All the while breathing deep and having great appreciation for your body and for being alive. And when we stretch our body we also stretch our mind, and thus we start to have a much more flexible way of looking at life.
Then it’s time to get ready for the day.
Eat a simple breakfast of fresh fruit, fresh berries, nuts, dried berries, seeds, and some nut milk of some kind, and if needed some simple grains like hemp seeds, or quinoa or some other simple grain… but no processed food, and a prayer of gratitude for this food.
This process may mean getting up 30 to 45 minutes earlier,
but the rewards are well worth it.
Enjoy this great way to wake up in the morning.
