“A Story About the Power of Love”

Love is the essence of all things, love can change everything if we allow love to take over our life and be the path that we follow no matter what happens. Love is like honey that makes milk a little sweeter. And love also makes life sweeter, and love brings about a feeling of contentment even when things are not that great. Here is a true story of a man and woman in love.

Once there was a man from India that came from the states and was going to study to become a doctor. He stayed with his uncle who was a farmer in Califo
ia and went to college taking his undergraduate courses and getting straight “A’s”. He was a amazing at learning languages and picked up on his own 6 different languages, and he as great in math, he had real talent. And he also worked in the field with his uncle on weekends and whenever he had time to help.

Then one day he met a young lady in college, and they were infatuated and enamored with one another. The young man feel head over heals in love with the blond haired, blue eyed, young lady from Iowa. The beautiful young lady wanted to become an actress… if all worked out. But as God and fate would have it, the young man fell head over heals in love with this young woman and ask her to marry him. And she said yes, and they ran off to Reno Nevada and got married right away.

But the young man felt a sense of obligation to his young wife, and thus gave up his dream of becoming a doctor, he starting farming full time to support his new family. At first he worked full time for other farmers making 50 cents a day as a day laborer. Back then 50 cents a day went a long way in the late 40’s and 50’s… and so they made ends meet. And they lived in an old house without insulation by the creek without indoor plumbing… they had an outhouse.

Later the young couple was able to save up enough cash to rent some land and they planted tomatoes and did pretty well. But life was hard, but love held them together. And even though they had different faiths, they both believed in God and that was all that mattered to them. And they prayed a lot and did whatever they had to do in order to make ends meet. Then one day the young couple was given a chance to raise 3,000 turkeys and they jumped at the possibility. And two years after getting married their first son came along… and they were so happy to be a family.

Well the turkeys business was very difficult, they lost lots of turkeys to disease and thus they lost everything on the venture, but they never gave up. Later the young man went on to work for a corporate rice farm ranch raising rice. And he did an excellent job and thus was always given more acreage to watch over, and make sure their was a great harvest. But there was only one draw back, they only got paid once a year when the harvest was over. So they prayed about the whole process and decided to keep working raising rice. And the young lady became very good at making a budget, cooking inexpensive meals, and making a dollar stretch as far as possible.

Later the young man’s uncle died and it was very hard for him. But he knew deep down inside that everything has a reason, and sooner or later he would see his uncle again on the others side of the veil. And 3 years later they had their second son, and this made them extremely happy… for you see in India family is everything.

They still had their ups and downs, but it was love that got them through everything, love that got them through the good times… and the hard times. Love for one-another, love for God, and a powerful love for life. And since they both came from families that had next to nothing, they were determined to be successful no matter what the consequences.

And they did, because eventually they had four children and a lovely home that was full of love. From something to everything, it’s amazing what a little love can do to change life forever.
