“A Story of a Guru in Deep Meditation”

Most people have their mind turned outward towards the world with their 5 senses—but great gurus and saints have their 5 senses turned inward towards God and the True Universe.

It’s easy to have our 5 senses become connected to all that we have going on around us. That’s exactly what Maya (The Outer World) is trying to do, lead us away from Nirvana. But those who know exactly where they are headed are not fooled— they know that all of this is but a dream— and the only true reality is inward.

And that’s why all the great saints and gurus of old and in this day and age sit in silence meditating for long periods of time.

In fact, there was one great guru who would sit for hours meditating on a rock on the banks of a river— and all of a sudden there was a flash flood. The water started to rise and came up over him and he was washed downstream. But he did not know anything was happening because he was in such a deep state of meditation.

But another guru who was miles away knew he was swept away by the water and with his powerful abilities awakened the floating guru so he could swim to shore. And on the side of the river, there was a family who saw him swimming and grabbed him and gave him food and dry clothing, and warmed him by the fire. And the father of the family said, “What Happened to You” and the guru said, “I was in such as deep state of bliss with God in meditation that I didn’t notice what was going on around me”.

We all have the ability to find the Power of the Collective Mind, the Power of True Divinity within. That power is there waiting for us to connect at all times.

First, it’s important to understand that we are part of the Divine and that the spark of light of the divine lies dormant in all beings. Thus in reality, we are all one being not separate. And with practice one sees that this dream that we live in is not real at all— all things are ONE.

And when we finally reach a state of being such as that the Great Saints and Guru’s we see all there is as ONE— thus everything lies with our own being as the ONE— Thus there is no such thing as separation.

Thus I am you, you are me, and we are one.

Many Blessings to Everyone!
