The capital of Philippines, Manila is located on the eastern shores of Manila Bay. The city has become one of the most visited holiday destinations across the world in a very short span to time. Malacanang Palace This was the palace which used to the residence of the governor-generals of the Spanish and American governments during their reign over the city. Later it became the residence of the successive Philippines presidents. The house also has a museum which features mementos from the presidents of Philippines. The Taal Volcano The Taal Volcano is the world’s smallest volcano which is an interesting thing to watch. Located in a lake at a distance of 70 Km south of Manila, this volcano is visited by large number of tourists. The specialty for this volcano is that it has a lake of its own inside its crater, which is known as the ‘Crater Lake’. You can visit this place with a help of boats available here. National Museum of the Philippines This is a large museum that preserves and exhibits the historical, cultural and natural heritage of the island. This is an awesome museum where you will find the skull of ‘Tabon Man’; the oldest human remains found in the archipelago. Corregidor This is a small island which has become a memorial and an open-air museum. Shaped like a tadpole, it was this place where the troops of Filipino and Americans stood during the World War II against the Japanese invaders. Other than these, there are many more places of sightseeing and fun in the city. The attractions in the city will not only entertain you but will narrate stories from the past. So, all you need to do is just book your flights to Manila and visit this intriguing holiday destination.
