Here is some of the Great Wall of China’s history. The early stages of building the Great Wall took place around the fifth century, but the current formation was formed approximately 220 BC by Qin Shi Huangdi, who was the first emperor of China and founder of the empire. So now, you know who built the Great Wall of China! Under his direction, the smaller, earlier constructions created by some individual states are connected and these were to the north, longer. The purpose of this project is to avoid horse-riding nomads. The soldiers and peasants from all over the country, spent many years of there life building this wall. The creation process is very tedious as large blocks of stone weighing several hundred pounds which was launched by the steep slopes to the high wall construction. It's good experience to tour the Great Wall in one of the sites. There are many sites on the wall, visitors can go and see this extraordinary structure and these comprise Badaling, Mutianyu, Simatai and Huanghua Cheng. The site of Badaling is the most popular and there are several souvenir stalls, tourist facilities and cable car on this site. Many visitors usually pass beyond the souvenir stands before rushing down the wall. There is a Great Wall Circle Vision Theater, which shows a film about the history of the wall. This show lasts for about 15 minutes. From Badaling, the view of the wall winding its way over the hills is truly breathtaking. Mutianyu is located about 80 kilometers north of Beijing. One advantage of choosing the Mutianyu site to see the wall is not as crowded as Badaling site. There are a number of watch towers here. Some parts of the wall here were not rebuilt and visitors can see the original structure as it is. Visitors can choose to climb the stairs (about 1,000 steps) or take the cable car from the bottom of the hills to the wall. Simatai located about 110 kilometers northeast of Beijing offers fabulous views of the wall and the mountains as well. The eastern section of the wall leads to very steep sections of the wall and then to impassable ruins. Many tourists chose to visit this place because the panoramic mountain views here are truly stunning. So contact China travel agency and ask them to give you best package to explore the natural beauty of China. Huanghua Cheng, located around 25 km west of Mutianyu, is less developed compared to other sections of the wall. Wall here is divided into two by a large tank. The right path is popular with visitors, because the left path is more difficult to. The fall of the Wall sections found here can be too dangerous for hikers. The Great Wall of China is certainly an extraordinary marvel. If you go to Beijing, then you should not miss a trip to this beautiful place. During your China tours don’t miss Xian Terracota warriors in Xian province. Another most important place to visit during China tour is Shanghai city. It is one of the most hot and happenings city of Republic of China. Infect the government has taken every step to boost Shanghai tourism. What ever you intension might be during your trip to China but I sure you will be delighted from your first day of your stay in this beautiful country of Asia.
