It’s not easy to get a job these days—especially if you’re a student or recent graduate. For the majority of university and college students in the process of getting their degree, having a well-paid summer job could make a huge difference financially. Being able to afford to pay for your schooling in full all at once eliminates the need to secure a loan, which could take years to pay off. Even having enough spending money to last an entire year means you won’t be forced to go to your parents for money help—talk about an uncomfortable conversation!

If you’re a recent grad, you may feel even more pressure to find a job. You may have student loans to pay off or financial goals to reach. And, as much as you love them, you are most likely eager to break away from your parents—living under their roof also means abiding by their rules. Plus, you are probably rearing to get your career started! Unfortunately, with thousands of students graduating every year, the job market is the most competitive it has ever been.

It seems like you need to have connections in order to get a good job. If you are not one of the lucky few students or recent grads with such connections, however, don’t worry! You’re not alone.

If you have been unsuccessful in your hunt for a job, you may want to consider enlisting the help of an employment or Staffing Agency. A lot of times, the positions filled by temporary employees can turn into full time jobs. Looking ahead to the New Year and how you expect it to unfold, can be tempting to get absorbed in whatever is currently trending, or whatever is “doom-ing and gloom-ing” at the moment. I have a new cell phone. I didn’t want a new cell phone; I was perfectly happy with my 2020 cell phone, but it wasn’t happy with me. Its connector charging port was ailing. Failing, actually, the service tech told me. And besides, it was an old phone, what did I expect? Old? This to a woman who is more than content, read “thrilled,” to wear outdated fashions just because she likes them. And would willingly keep computers way past their supposed “shelf life.” Sigh. OK, fine,
