IBPS as an autonomous body has been authorised by IBA and has received a mandate from the 19 public sector banks to conduct the common written examination (CWE) for the posts of probationary officer and clerk. Though, there are 19 public sector banks that come under the IBPS recruitment process but the scores awarded to the qualified candidates are also likely to be used by a few other banks and financial institute like IDBI, ECGC etc for the selection for entry level officer’s position.
