About UPPSC, MPSC, UKPSC

The PSC examinations are conducted in various states of India for the recruitment of the state civil servants. So we have various names for the different exams in the individual states. There is the UPPSC which is the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission; the MPSC is the Maharashtra Public Service Commission and the UKPSC is the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission. The 1976 regulation act controls this top state level examination. While the headquarters of Public Service Commission in Uttar Pradesh was located earlier in Allahabad, at the present time it is situated in Lucknow. The number of the staff recruited by the PSC has increased over the years in keeping with the increased number of aspirants who sit for the examination every year. Presently there are 8 members in the commission. MPSC and UKPSC examinationsrnSimilar to the UPPSC, the MPSC is the authoritative body which is responsible for the conduction of the civil services examination in the state of Maharashtra. However it is related to the conduction of a number of other exams including the civil services. The headquarters of the Maharashtra Public Service Commission is situated in Mumbai. UKPSC is a body which is owned by the Government and it is responsible for every kind of examination which is conducted for the Government jobs in the state of Uttarakhand. In order to join the civil services in the state of Uttarakhand you will need to sit in the examination which is conduction by the Public Service Commission there.
