It is a big draw for holiday goers and has a lot to offer in terms of tourism, from sailing, other water sports to exploring wines, the local cuisine, culture and later the nightlife. Staying in Auckland on a budget The lowest costing option and a popular one among the young backpackers are to find travel and youth hostels and stay there. Sometimes you have to share a room with several people in a classic dormitory style, but you can find places that have twins so you only have to share with one other. Some hostels do offer a single room, Auckland option. Kitchen and bathroom facilities are most commonly shared. A luxury hotel room with a view of the harbor, for example, will set you back a nice chunk of change! If you want the luxury, fine dining and you want peace and privacy, you might want to check out some of the lodges Auckland has to offer. Renting apartments Another option more people are looking into when traveling is to rent an apartment. There are one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and even 3 bedroom apartments in Auckland that would allow you to stay in the area but you also get to cook and have a place to hang out and relax when you are not exploring.
